I was going to see my friend Katie perform with the CLU dance team and support and cheer her on. I expected it to be a few dances and some comical acts, nothing special really. But much to my surprise the CLU student community is filled with such talent! The girl who opened the show had a stunning voice and really brought a fun and friendly atmosphere to the show. The hosts of the show, I will admit, were rather annoying. They honestly thought that they were hilarious but I found their humor to be a little bit bothersome. On a different note, the rest of the performers were outstanding and the range of performances and talent took me by surprise! Acoustic guitar performances, belly dancing, jazz dance, musical theatre, magic tricks, flamenco dance and so much more! I had no idea how many talented individuals we had at CLU and this event really gave them the chance to showcase their abilities. I'd love to see other events like this where students can perform and share their talents with their peers!
